But in case it's working with OMNI and not with channel 1, then your keyboard is probably currently transmitting on a different MIDI channel (than 1). Not sure if this also means that you tried it with the MIDI channel set to OMNI.
There is a menu in the Kontackt player whereby you can choose the midi channel either omni or channel 1, so it should work Accessible by pressing the key or via the menu, as shown here: Side note: there's also the option to use Kontakt's built-in keyboard to double-check which notes are triggered in Kontakt from MIDI files or external MIDI controllers/keyboards. Just in case: if the displayed notes are offset by an octave, there's a MIDI octave name display offset options available in Preferences > Media > MIDI to adjust for that. Or in case you're using a smaller sized keyboard: is the keyboard transpose set correctly (to match the playable note range in the Kontakt instrument)? But you can also double-check if using Insert > Virtual Instrument on new track makes any difference (in case you're setting the tracks up manually).Īre the notes played with the keyboard inside the note range of the loaded Kontakt instrument (since certain Kontakt instrument have a limited playable note range)? Since you posted that the Keyboard works fine with other VSTi, I'm assuming that the Track is set up correctly. Some general things to check that come to mind:
Usually matching the MIDI channel between the MIDI keyboard and the Kontakt instrument should be sufficient.
